Shirakawago in Gifu; Japanese unique traditional arhcitecture style and World Heritage

Shirakawago in Gifu prefecture is famous for "Gasho-dukuri" which is Japanese unique traditional arhcitecture style. You can see Japanese houses built 300 years ago.
This has been registered as a World Heritage Site.


You can experience nostalgic atmosphere here.


Wadake is one of the most large buildings of Gasho-dukuri and it is used as a dwelling even now.



There are some shops. You can enjoy sjopping, too.


You can get Hidagyu-croquette there. Hdagyu is a species of cow and famous as specialty goods of Gifu prefecture. It's very delicious! 


You can access to there by bus from Takayama station or Kanazawa station.
