Kawagoe city in Saitama prefecture; Old Tokyo cityscape

Kawagoe city in Saitama prefecture remains old Japanese buildings. So Kawagoe is called "Small Edo," Edo is old name of Tokyo.
The traditional cityscape is interesting.

There are many souvenir shops, restaurants etc. 

The left tall building is Bell tower. For example, it informed the residents of fire. Actually, wooden houses are easy to catch fired, so fire sometimes occured in Edo period (about 200 years ago).

This is a parade of Japanese traditionla dancer.

 You can travel around Kawagoe by bus or foot from Kawagoe station.
