Kusatsu hot spring; Japanese nostalgic atmosphere

Kusatsu hot spring in Gunma prefecture is one of the most famous hot spring in Japan.
This spot is typical Japanese hot spring town, so it must be very interesting for foreign tourist.

There is Yubatake at center of Kusatsu hot spring town. Yubatake means a "hot water field" in English. It strongly smells of sulfur.

You can experience Yumomi. Yumomi is traditional way of cooling hot water without decreasing the health efficacy by using long wodden panel.
In fact, Yumomi appears at the movies "Princess Mononoke."

There are footbath, open-air bath, park, shopping street, and so on.

The scene around Yubatake is so fantastic at night.
