Snow train in Japan; beautiful countryside scene from Jouetsu line window



There are areas of heavy snowfall in Japan. You can see beautiful snow scene with Japanese atmosphere there. Just looking snow scene from train window might be interesting and enjoyable. Especially, the train window of local train line is more beautiful than that of Shinkansen line.

Jouetsu line runs such an area of heavy snowfall and introduced here.

Jouetsu line runs between Takasaki station in Gunma prefecture and Nagaoka station in Niigata prefecture. Takasaki is not so far from Tokyo (about 50 minutes by Shinkansen), so you can take a day trip from Tokyo.

 You can see beautiful snow scene, it's as if landscape in the original state in Japan.

Echigo-Yuzawa is famous sightseeing spot. There are many viewpoints and you can ski there. 

There are many souvenir shops at Echigo-Yuzawa station.



You can see snow wall at Doai station. Any things are covered by snow.

Doai station is known as the deepest station in Japan, as written here.

 In Jouetsu line, the platform is covered by snow. It might be interesting scene.
