Where to visit in Tokyo International Airport (Haneda); Edo Koji

Many foreigners will use Tokyo International Airport (Haneda airport).
Actually, there are many amusement spots in Haneda airport. You should know about them before you visit Japan.
Here, where to visit in Haneda airport (International Terminal) are shown.

Edo Koji

Edo Koji Street is modeled after typical old Japanese street in Edo period (17 - 19th century).  It has a unique and interesting atmosphere. There are many shops and restaurants.
Edo Koji is upstairs of check-in counters.

Haneda Nihonbashi Bridge

Nihonbashi Bridge is originaly known as start point of main streets from Tokyo to each region in Edo period. Then, the start point revivaled at Haneda International airport.

Observation Deck

You can view planes parking, taking off or landing at observation deck. The view is beautiful and some photographer may be taking pictures.

Festival Square

Festival Square is modeled after typical Japanese style festival and a central raised platform.
There are many wooden plates on the wall, which tourists all around the world write their wishes on it. You can also add your wish.

You can sit and take a rest with viewing check-in counter of downstairs from there.

TIAT SKY ROAD

There is a simulator game of  flight (it costs 100 yen). You can experience a pilot and manipulate the plane.

And when you become hungry, you can have many Japanese foods at Edo Koji. The following is Tendon. This is one of my favorite Japanese foods.

I hope you enjoy amusements in Haneda airport not only just using it. Have a nice trip!

Walking across Rainbow bridge to Odaiba; one of the best night view in Tokyo!!

Rainbow bridge is a huge bridge which connects Tokyo central area and Odaiba area. You can walk across it.
The view of daytime is also good, but I recommend especially to walk at night. The night view from Rainbow bridge is one of the best night view in Tokyo!!

You can access to Rainbow bridge from Tamachi station of JR line or Shibaurafuto station of Yurikamome line. You can go up in the elevator.

The following is sidewalk of Rainbow bridge. Cars pass through your side, it's exciting.
Some people are running at this sidewalk.

You can select South course or North course.
You can walk with viewing Odaiba by selecting South course.
The view with some Japanese houseboat is beautiful and interesting.

The north course is also beautiful. You can see Ariake area and Tokyo tower.

There are some rest space. You can sit and see the view. There is a map of this bridge.

You can arrive at Odaiba by foot from Tamachi station. It takes about 30 - 60 minutes to go across this bridge.
If you have an extra time in Tokyo, I recommend to visit this bridge at night.

The business time of sidewalk of Rainbow bridge is 9:00 - 21:00 from April 1 to October 31 and 10:00 - 18:00 from November 1 to March 31.

As written above, you can access to Rainbow bridge from Tamachi station of JR line (15 minutes by foot) or Shibaurafuto station of Yurikamome line (5 minutes by foot).

You can find hotel in Tokyo here.

Free viewing platform in Shinjuku; you can see night view of Tokyo

There is a free viewing platform at Tokyo Metropolitan Government in Shinjuku city. I think this spot is pretty good because of the nice view in spite of free charge.
The viewing platform is on 45th floor, so you can look over the landscape of Tokyo city, and even Mt. Fuji if weather permits.

Souvenir shop and cafe are also there.

I recommend you visit there. You can get there in about 10 minutes by foot from Shinjuku station.

Hato bus Tour in Tokyo; popular English tour

Hato bus Tour is a popular bus tourism in Tokyo.
There are many courses and you can select language of course from English, Chinese, Japanese and so on.
If it is underoccupied, you can apply on the day.
I think Hato bus Tour is convenient for first trip in Tokyo.

I joined English course of Hato bus Tour for studying English the other day.
We viewed main areas in Tokyo such as Ginza, Imperial Palace, the Houses of Parliament from a bus window, then toured Asakusa city on foot and went up Sky tree.
I was surprised some Japanese also joined the English tour.

You can see the detail of Hato bus tour here.
